Execution and node status

Statuses only move forward: PENDING → QUEUED → RUNNING → one terminal status. A status that would step back is ignored. Node-level values such as NODE_* are never terminal for the whole execution.

Signal answers

When you send a signal to a node, the node answers ACCEPTED (delivered), QUEUED (kept for a wait that has not begun) or refuses it as not waiting. A signal to a node that is not registered gives 409.
